Job Title: Financial Analyst

Location: Lagos

Job description

• Prepare journal entries, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Perform financial statement analysis and document meaningful explanations for fluctuations to assist management with business decisions
• Partner with cross functional business partners to manage and improve existing processes.
• Prepare monthly financial close
• Ensure invoices are paid and accurately recorded
• Direct report to the Chief Financial Officer
• Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility
• Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned
• Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-8 years of professional experience
• Experience in Accounting, finance, business operations, or management consulting
• ACCA, CPA, or ICAN certified
• Financial modelling
• Knowledge of local tax remittances
• Excellent communication skills
• Tech-savvy
• Detail oriented and organized
• Prior experience working at startup is a plus
• Experience with Quickbooks/Xero Accounting Software or another large scale ERP is a plus
